InvestED provides funding that supports the efforts of secondary schools throughout Washington state. We partner with 660 schools and assist 25,245 students with small amounts of short-term, item-specific, need-based funding – items such as shoes, coats, glasses, sports equipment, and academic fees.

Our mission is to provide immediate help for students in need. Our goal is to encourage students to stay in school, return to school, or get involved within their learning community.

You can help students in your community. Just click the Donate button located at the top of this page. InvestED is a 501 (c) (3) organization tax ID# 23-7189670.

We are excited to bring you an opportunity to be involved directly with the students in a new program called “Parent Presence”. There are times during the three lunches (10:45 – 12:10) Mon-Thursday and (10:00-11:10) on Fridays where there simply are not enough staff members available to be able to supervise the students outside and in the available gyms. The result is a full common room and library and kids with pent up energy that would like to be outside or expending it in the gym playing games. Parent Presence will ensure that the students have options on where they spend their lunch “recess”. There will be a training meeting in November once all the volunteers are in place, and then teams of 2 parents each day will check in with the office for their location assignment, and be issued walkie-talkies. They will then be the supervision and adult presence in that area (outside, gyms or Commons).

Hawk-A-Thon (HAT) is a fun and very important fundraising event for both ASB and PTSA. Students participate in a noncompetitive, relay-style event that promotes physical fitness and school spirit. They ask family and friends to sponsor them. After minimal expenses, all proceeds stay at CKMS to benefit the students (no funds need to be shared with an outside fundraising company). HAT replaces the Magazine Drive of years past as ASB’s major fundraiser. CLICK HERE for more information.
